A/N: I was just pondering and thinking about what would have happened if one of the aliens who had abducted Samantha Mulder had been drunk. Combine that and the fact that the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy just came out in theaters squee, and you get this crazy fic.
He sat there in the well-lit room. It was almost too well lit, he thought as he guzzled down his second Pan-Galactic Gargle Blaster, his mind currently becoming very foggy as he knew it would be after drinking so much, he really didn't care though. After being sent halfway across the galaxy by his commander on some half-baked abduction mission was not how he pictured his life. Ever since he was a kid he had dreamed of being able to join the Ligorian space fleet and go on exotic missions to far away and fascinating places. So far all he ever was sent to do was crappy abduction missions to some stupid planet. Looking down and the infernal blue and green planet he smirked, knowing that it would be destroyed soon, still not too soon for his tastes.
"'eh Gyreashizly," his partner's familiar voice echoed through the small control room. "We near the planet yet?"
"Yeah, we'll be landing in just a short while," Gyreashizly replied wearily, sipping the dregs of his drink.
"Who are we testing this time?" Tyreasely, his partner, asked, obviously very bored and trying to make some kind of conversation in the remaning time before they would land on Terra.
"We're taking some kid named Mulder," he quickly brought the ship to the surface of the planet, landing in the street across from the Mulder house.
"Our heat sensors show two kids there. So which one do we take?" he was really starting to think that his partner was playing dumb, both of them should know very well which kid to take. Their commander had been very specific on that point, they had to take the...well now that he thought about it he really didn't know. Pausing for a moment he quickly pointed on the monitor to one of the children.
"There that one,"
"The boy?" his partner asked incredulously.
"Yes, of course the boy, Fox Mulder," he tapped the figure for more emphasis.
"Are you sure, I could have sworn we were supposed to take..."
"YES," he yelled, the Pan-Galactic Gargle Blasters taking a huge toll on his brain functioning capability. "We take the boy, then take him back to Ligoria," he looked over at his partner who was standing still, looking at him like he expected him to do all the work. "WELL? GO TAKE THE DAMN BOY!" he shrieked, shooing him away with three of his six arms.
"Fine, don't have to get all huffy about it," he muttered and left to get off of the ship. "Still, I'm pretty sure we were supposed to take the girl," he said, almost in a whisper. "Oh well," and he walked into the street, whistling a happy tune.
End, happy? review please...
