Rain

By: Keiji-Munch

Rain patters on my roof today

I watch the beads on the window from where I lay

Creating arrays of colors for all who stay

Preventing the children who go and play

Now we must tolerate the powers inside

They're always there and are never a lie

Some run rampant for all to see

Others are secret and do not call

Wishing for the sun to come

When the rain is finally done

Now they're running through the halls

Driving us up the walls

Finally the long awaited sun is back

I step into the hall and yell "Ack!"

Being almost trampled by a crowd

Makes you want to have a steel shroud

All of them wanting to go outside

Play some ball, climb a tree, and take a ride

I jump into the crowd and go with the flow

Leading me to a beautiful afternoon glow
