Title: What You Can Not Say
Disclaimer: I do not own the characters of Hellblazer or Constantine. I only lay claim to the compilation of the words.
Author's Note: After a fanfiction epiphany between yesterday and today, (multiple epiphanies, actually), I wrote this poem. It is not my first Constantine piece, but it is the first one that I have posted, here. I hope that you enjoy it.
Summary: "All that I want is a sign. I want to know where you are." Chastine.
A letter from an ended life.
A few words from beyond the grave.
All that I want is a sign.
I want to know where you are.
A little boy with curly, brown hair.
A taxi cab parked in front of the alley.
Simple things that I never noticed.
I want to know what they mean.
A crucifix on the bathroom floor.
A demonology book on the table.
Random items keep appearing.
Are you trying to tell me something?
An entire pack of cigarettes crushed.
A spoon left in a carton of ice cream.
You used to do all of those things.
Are you doing them, now?
"Kid" scratched into my bedroom door.
An angel shaped shadow in the corner of the room.
These little signs that you are sending me.
Thank you for telling me that you are okay.
