"Ginny…" Harry whispered.

"Yes, Harry, I'm here," Ginny whispered back. His head was in her lap, and she was crying. She pushed some of his hair off of his forehead.

"I'm sorry…"

"No, Harry, don't go!" Ginny cried. Harry took his last breath and then fell silent. He had defeated Voldemort, but in turn the spell killed himself.

"Harry!" Ginny cried. She woke up and realized that she was crying. She had dreamed of Harry's death ever since it happened. She was afraid of them now, and tried desperately not to sleep, though she couldn't help it.

I'm so tired of being here

Suppressed by all my childish fears

And if you have to leave

I wish that you would just leave

'Cos your presence still lingers here

And it won't leave me alone

Ginny was sick of seeing him everywhere. Everything reminded her of him. It was almost as if he was haunting her. She couldn't stand to even look at the pictures. She ran her fingers along her arms and shivered. So many scars covered them, from trying to escape the mental pain. Anything to take her away from him.

These wounds won't seem to heal
This pain is just too real

There's just too much that time cannot erase

She walked to the bathroom, making sure to lock the door. It was the summer before her 7th year, and her birthday would be tomorrow. She ran the water in the tub and got undressed. After Ginny made sure it was scalding hot and deep enough, she climbed in. She sighed and laid her head back, closing her eyes and breathing in the steam.

You used to captivate me
By your resonating light
Now I'm bound by the life you left behind
Your face it haunts, my once pleasant dreams
Your voice it chased away, all the sanity in me

"Why must you always be there?" Ginny said, opening her eyes again when she saw the face of Harry in her mind. She held her breath and went under the water, looking at the ceiling though the water stung her eyes. She closed her eyes once more, hoping for blackness. No such luck, for Harry came into her head again. She groaned and came back up above the water, smoothing her hair back.

She relaxed as she watched the mirror fog up. She blinked, and then saw Harry again, as if he was real. He looked like he was going to say something, but Ginny shook her head.

"Why can't you stop haunting me?" She nearly cried.

"When you'd cry I'd wipe away all of the tears." He said, reaching down and wiping a tear away. She jerked back and gasped. He felt so solid.

"When you'd scream I'd fight away all of your fears." He continued. She looked down and trembled.

"And I've held your hand through all of these years but you still have all of me." Ginny said, looking back up at him. He nodded and looked down. Ginny blinked and he was gone. She sighed and cried silently.

I've tried so hard to tell myself that you're gone
But though you're still with me
I've been alone all along

"Oh, Harry, why did you have to leave me so alone?"
