Mirror: Calvin and Hobbes version

Calvin and Hobbes: Percussion

Rosalyn: Electric guitar, vocals

Susie: Electric guitar, vocals, keyboard

Susie started playing the piano and starts singing.

Susie: Mirror, Mirror on the wall, Have I got it?
'Cause Mirror you've always told me who I am
I'm finding it's not easy to be perfect
So sorry you won't define me
Sorry you don't own me.

The guitars start playing and Calvin and Hobbes start playing the percussion. Rosalyn sings with Susie.

Susie and Rosalyn: Who are you to tell me
that I'm less than what I should be?
Who are you? Who are you?
I don't need to listen
to the list of things I should do
I won't try, I won't try
.

The percussion dies down and Rosalyn sings her solo.

Rosalyn: Mirror I am seeing a new reflection
I'm looking into the eyes of He who made me
And to Him I have beauty beyond compare
I know He defines me
.

Susie looks back to see Calvin playing the percussion but doesn't see Hobbes playing while Calvin does. Susie looks back forward.

Susie and Rosalyn: Who are you to tell me
that I'm less than what I should be?
Who are you? Who are you?
I don't need to listen
to the list of things I should do
I won't try, I won't try
.

The band looks out into the crowd. Calvin sees his parents, Susie sees Miss Wormwood, and Rosalyn see her boyfriend Charlie.

Susie: You don't define me, you don't define me.

Rosalyn: You don't define me, you don't define me.

The music dies down.

Susie: Who are you to tell me
that I'm less than what I should be?
Who are you? Who are you?

The music blasts back.

Rosalyn: Yeah, yeah, yeah.

The two finish the song together with Calvin and Hobbes playing the percussion.

Both: I don't need to listen
to the list of things I should do
I won't try, I won't try.

Calvin and Hobbes finish. The band hears their applause and goes off stage.
