Dark Changes

Revan laid her hand on the soft fabric and ran it over her hands as she smiled softly at it. It was black, a dark color that accented her natural pale skin and silky black hair. Her hair was so long and very fine, she could never bear to cut it or shave her head, even though Malak, Talvon and Xaset had shaved their heads.

She turned around and looked around her small room, where she hid from the world. No one, not even Malak would find her here, though of course the Star Forge's secrets where hers and even though it looked as she merely treated the Forge as an extensive shipyard, Revan knew it was much more than that.

She had relented and finally brought the others here, to Deralia, her home planet. She wanted to see it one last time before, she left to fight again …before she went to war and because she had seen the future…

She could tell what would happen to come as she continued further in her quest. Malak would hurt her, betray her… one day.

There was some wall between that last step that Revan could not see and she did not want to see it, either… What would come to pass would come to pass and that was that.

"Revan? Where are you?"

Cansandra called out to Revan with her mind, through the Force, as she wandered through the empty halls of the fortress, Revan had brought them too.

"Where do I go now?"

Candsandra stared down the passage that divided off into two paths; one door was lit with an errie green light, while the other shone brightly with red piercing the darkness that covered it. Candsandra closed her eyes and walked forward to the red light. Cansandra opened her eyes after five minutes and looked around her. She screamed when she saw what kind of a room she was in.

Revan's head snapped up in her room as she heard Candandra scream in the Force. She reached for her mask and placed it on her face as she walked out into the courtyard, appearing seemingly out of nowhere. Cariaga, Talvon, Nisotsa, Xaset, and Malak stood before Revan as she glared at them all, dressed in her black robes, her mask covering her true face with its cold metal chill.

"I told you all, not to explore… and now Cansandra must pay the price… If anyone should object, speak now and they will not have to speak again."

Revan's clenching hand was an ominous sign to the others, that one word would send her flying into a murderous rage.

Revan smiled sickly when no one challeneged her and motioned with her hand, reavealing Cansandra's gutted and mutated corpse in the doorway from where Revan had appeared, two feet away from them.

Talvon paled at the look of his best friend's demise, while Cariaga and Nisotsa retched. Xaset and Malak merely looked away and at Revan as she twitched her fingers and spoke almost casually.

"She's still alive, you know… and she wanted to feed… on blood."

As if to prove Revan right, Cansandra staggered forward, lurching into Tavlon, Caraiaga, and Nisotsa's path. Blood spurted everywhere as Revan crushed the four Jedi to pulps of blood and lumps. Xaset's face was sliced off his head before he could raise his lightsaber.

Revan whirled to find Malak looking at her with a feral look on his face as Xaset's blood sprayed a fine red mist around the two lovers.

"Pity, they wouldn't have joined us, my love, Malak grinned at Revan as he wrapped his arms around her waist.

Revan smiled back, the blood making streaks on her face, as she placed her fingers on his lips softly playing, "it's no loss to us; there will be others who will join us, Malak…"

"I love you…"

"And I love you, Malak… I love you too…"
