Another poem which can be said to be vaguely related to Good Omens. I might not know all that much about religion – but am enthralled by the imagery presented in the Fallen.

Recant

For what do fallen angels weep?

Not for their God. He turned away

(Or was it them?) and passed from sight

For demons do not love the day.

OOOOO

What cause for tears? Oh, not their wings

They lost them once, and never wept

For ivory plumes. Now raven's kin

They snatched them from where Darkness slept.

OOOOO

No cause for pain. Their kingdom now

Is that and more; yet still goes on

The fearful grief in burning air

A night that will not know a dawn.

OOOOO

For what do fallen angels weep?

For what do mourn? And for what grieve?

Perhaps the echoes, silent now

Of all that lost which they believed.
