Orange Crush

His back is warm. The wind rustles my hair, rosy cheeks facing the cool breeze. His jacket, that I especially picked out for him, horrified at his tremendously bad fashion sense and sheer taste. I don't who dressed in Tokyo Jupiter, maybe his mother, but he certainly didn't. The jacket, flicks against my cheek.

I press closer to him, just wanting human contact. Being surrounded by those Jovians, not him, all day every day, does get on your nerves... It most likely didn't help that I was, was a spy, an agent. So long, since I've touched, for real. Fighting off blue blooded Mu, doesn't count.

The material is dark, totally out of season, yet, it suits him. I think I'll always remember him like this, flying, riding past the orange glow of the wall and the sky's sunset. Along the bridge, missing the pot holes and pit falls, his back pressing warmly, snugly against my cheek.

Feeling his muscles bunch under my skin, I lean in closer, the slight touch, deeper and more personal making him shiver and me smile in delight.

We are riding over the bridge, the sunset a beautiful horizon, background and foreground to the ride, his eyes shine with reflected orange spirals of light. It's scary how good it goes with his face, almost normal... So alien.

I can hear his heart beat, pumping, he isn't one of them, close my eyes to hide the truth that isn't what I want to believe, he's one of us, one of ours. He's under my care. I have to protect him, he's so alone in this world.

Shifting my lips graze the inner corner of his elbow, the jacket that I picked for him and his own heat what I experience. He jolts slightly, the bike curving to the side before he regains control, I grin. He doesn't know much about this world, but I'll help him.

The waves lap against the boat, a slight spray wetting my ankles. He smiles, holding out a hand for me to take, he's so beautiful, but he'll have to be strong.

Delighted, I gently grasp his hand, smiling back at him.
