Author's Note: This is a collection of my short, Titan's themed drabbles, originally done for a Livejournal community called "Fifteen Minute Fics". The object of the community is to write a short drabble in fifteen minutes about/using a certain word. I've decided to post them up here. Stories will contain a variety of themes, genres, characters, and ships. The word on which the story is based will be posted as the chapter title, along with the word count at the beginning of each little ficlet.

Each time I post a new one, I'll update the summary to reflect the newest chapter.

So, sit back and enjoy the show!

Fire

Word count: 389

Terra stood helplessly at the base of the T-tower and watched as Jump City was devoured by fire. The vivid oranges and yellows lit the otherwise dark night sky, allowing Terra to see countless buildings and stores and homes be eaten by the malicious flames. Whereas wind might have normally helped quell the fire, the gust that shot past Terra and sent a shiver down her back, only intensified it, turning Jump City into a raging inferno.

Terra's thoughts swirled around in her head, mostly jumbled and frantic, but all echoing the same thought. NO. I can't just stand idly by as my city is reduced to a smoldering pile of ash. I will not let this happen. I won't.

Terra tried to run out towards the bay, in the direction of the city. She couldn't. She was paralyzed. She looked down at her feet, and saw that they had turned into solid rock. She couldn't move them. Terra watched in horror as her legs started turning into stone from the ankle up. It was as if the stone was consuming her flesh. 'No!' her mind cried out desperately as she tried with all of her strength to get her legs to move. It was no use. She was helpless. As Terra turned her gaze back to Jump City, she was hit by cloud of smoke. It overwhelmed her. She couldn't breathe, couldn't move, couldn't see...

"NO." Terra sat up quickly and gasped for breath, for air. She could breathe. She wiggled her toes; she could move. A quick scan of her surroundings told her that she was inside, and while it was dark, there was no fire. Still breathing heavily, Terra pushed her sheets aside, climbed out of her bed and tip-toed quietly through the dark hallway. It felt a bit eerie, but Terra was just glad that she could move and quickened her pace a bit.

Terra reached her destination, a shiny steel door. She knocked three times, and right on the third knock, the door slid open.

"Thank goodness," said Terra, falling into the arms of the figure at the door. "I had another one of those dreams."

"Come now and tell me about them, my Apprentice, but then get back to bed. It is late, and we have a long day of training ahead tomorrow."
