I am a dreamer.

We all are dreamers, my sisters and I, and my brother-consort as well. They reveal to us numerous pasts and infinite futures, the mingling of present and eternity, and the fate of those who endlessly wander the fields, forests and oceans of creation.

Rarely do we wake from our slumber, lost in the indistinguishable mists that make dreams our reality and reality our dreams. Rarely have any of my kind left our ancient mountain stronghold, except for the mating flight of a queen and her midnight-scaled mate.

I am an oddity, in that I have left these fire-warmed hills long before I was required to. One of the children-of-the-moon was clutched gently in my great talons as we sped to his people's wyvern-wrested homeland, to end the tyranny of the Wyrm King Lynex and free a sacred land held dear by Her of the Thousand, Thousand Eyes.

To stretch my wings for the first time was a glorious joy I have not felt in all my centuries, and one I know I will never be able to duplicate again. That brief time among the clouds was an exhilarating experience. I envy both gryphons and birds that timeless ecstasy, where nothing matters but the wind rushing past.

No matter. Dreams are my realm, and so they shall ever be, my legacy, my dam's legacy, my sisters' legacies, and my daughters' legacies. We are the keepers of time and history, as Álmaharát-elár-herát so willed it, many countless generations ago as my folk reckon time.

I am Wyzásukitán, queen of red dragons.

I am a dreamer.
