Adam was not always willing to admit when he was wrong. But this time even he had to admit to it. He was well and truly lost. He had been wandering the endless corridors of the TARDIS for almost two hours, looking for Rose's room. Every time he saw a familiar door, the ship would seem to shift around the rooms, leaving him confused again. Confusion wasn't something Adam had felt before he had ended up on the TARDIS either.

"Aha!" He spotted the white-and-pink patterned door that denoted Rose's room, eyes lighting up in triumph. He nudged the door open, not thinking about whether Rose would actually be happy to see him.

"Rose?"

He glanced at the bed, seeing a slender hand decorated with a silver charm bracelet sticking out, he stepped forward, confident that she was alone. As he did, he caught sight of another arm resting of top of the sheets, which obviously didn't belong to the first person.

"Adam? What're you doin' here?" Rose was sitting up, duvet pulled up to her chin. In doing so she had revealed part of her legs, which were wrapped around someone else's.

"He...you..." he just stared at her, unable to form a coherent sentence. Yet another thing that had never happened before the Doctor and Rose had bowled into his life.

Rose glanced at him, at the alien who had his arms wrapped around his waist, and back again.

"Oh" She turned to the sleeping Doctor, giving Adam a glimpse of the angel's wings tattoos on her shoulders. She shook the Doctor awake, giving Adam a nervous grin as she did so.

"What?" He glanced at the still-dumbstruck Adam "What's prettyboy looking at?"

"I think he's a bit surprised" Rose giggled nervously, pulling up the cover some more.

"Tell him to fuck off then" Rose whacked his shoulder "What?"

"But you..." Rose raised an eyebrow, nodding for him to continue "Said you 'just friends'"

"I may have told a teeny little white lie" She shrugged nonchalantly "And we still are friends. But more than that too"

"But-" He ducked the hardback copy of 'Great Expectations' that flew towards him. It landed harmlessly in the corridor outside. The Doctor was sitting up, left arm wrapped around Rose under the duvet. He was giving Adam a leave-or-die glare, and Adam promptly took the hint and ran, not even stopping to close the door after him.

"Was the book throwing really necessary?" She frowned at him, pouting slightly.

"Yes. He doesn't take a hint" He buried back under the covers, dragging her with him "Genius my arse"

I've got to stop doing stories where Adam is traumatised or attacked. But it's just so much fun!
