The Sun underground
"Did you not hear me, slave? I said that if you acted up again I would kill you!" Hissed a gryphen. He was a deep green-feathered male with glinting evil eyes and a horrible temper.
"I heard you perfectly well, but your threat does not scare me. You know just as well as I do, that if it weren't for me you would be dead by now, also, I am your only 'slave' right now. So, if you'll excuse me, Rashill, I have work to do." Said a unicorn mare eminently coldly.
The sun had just peaked over the first grass wrought mountain of gryphen territory. The mare looked out of a small-carved hole in one of the caves she was visiting. She had a dark black coat and an ebony horn. Blue eyes shone on her intelligent head as she enviously watched two foals playing in the vale territory below her.
" Fajera, what are you doing?" Asked a kindly voice. The black mare spun around to face the speaker. It was a completely white stallion with a crystalline horn. He was chained to the wall of the cave with impossibly tight bonds. Fajera answered, bored,
" Watching the vale. " The old stallion smiled,
"What, again! What do you see this time?" asked the white stallion.
"Same as always… dull weponed foals, they go somewhere for a while, then they come back warriors." Answered Fajera bitterly.
" Just like you always wanted to?" asked the stallion.
"That's never going to happen, " answered Fajera.
"Bah! Ye of little faith!" accused the stallion.
"It's not like I haven't tried, Faro!" answered the black mare.
"That was a long time ago!" yelled Faro.
"What do you suggest I do, try again?" asked Fajera.
"Yes! You could escape any time you wish, and yet you stay here, your so stupid- Fajera, you have a chance to be someone, don't waste it!" yelled Faro. "Don't make the same mistake I did, you know the way out, why don't you go!" he continued softer.
"Come with me." Insisted Fajera.
"No." said faro. "Fajera, there is 1 power on earth that could break these bonds, but there is no power that can break our friendship."
" There is no cure for a broken heart,
there is no rime that can mend the tear."
Sang faro quietly.
" There is no hour I wont think of you,
nor is there a time your voice wont do."
Continued Fajera.
" And when the time comes that I,
must say goodbye to you…"
They both sang.
" I want to hold on,
want to be next to you,
Don't want to cry,
Just want to feel you sigh.
I want to hold on,
Want to be next to you,
Not goanna cry,
Because there's nothing I cant do with you.
I'm goanna live ,
Goanna make our dreams come true,
I'm goanna hold on,
Because I want to be with you."
