I will own the rights to X-Men when the Pope is Jewish.

Midnight. Well, seven past anyways. That was the best time of night for her. Everyone was asleep; she had free roam of the mansion. She could go everywhere, anywhere; do everything she was deprived of during the day. Mostly she stuck to the kitchen or the rec room, but tonight waswas different, she felt a pull to go outside. It was beautiful at night.

She silently padded on the cool cement, watching the pale moon as it rose in the sky. It illuminated the pool with an eerie white glow. Irresistible.

She didn't even own a swimsuit. Why would she, she could never wear it. Without even thinking about it, she took of her clothes and slipped into the pool, letting the silky waves come up to her bare chest. It felt good to be able to swim, to kick and dive without fear of the consequences. She floated on her back, staring up at the sky. Her hair flowed behind her, tresses ofauburn and white.

Why was everything so hard? This, this was so simple. Her and the waves. No powers, no pain, nothing. And pain was something that lately, she'd had a lot of. Ever since… She still couldn't even say his name. The professor said after such a traumatic event, the mind takes a while to 'reset' back to normal.

Huh. Some normal.

His vision was slightly blurred as he stood up, and as always, red. Checking that his glasses were securley on, he looked at his alarm clock. It read twelve after midnight. Wonderful.

He snuck down to the kitchen and grabbed some ice cream. He and Rogue used to do this all the time. Sharing the ice cream and all. But lately he hadn't seen her, so he stopped coming.

Putting back the ice cream, he headed for his room. Suddenlt, the bright glow f the moon caught his attention from a nearby window. He would have to check this out.

The door to the pool slid open without a sound. He ftood against the deck, taking n the view. Just over the treetops, it was amazing. The moon was so bright, it cast an eerie shadow over the pool...

He stepped back. There was... something in the pool. It was standing up now. God, it was an angel. The moonlight reflected on it's skin so brightly, he couldn't even see it's face. But he knew it was the most beautiful creature he'd ever seen.

She radiated light, her body was so bright he could barely see an outline. Then just as suddenly as he'd seen it, it was gone.

That's all for today kiddies. Be sure to check back soon!
