"Ren. For you."

Yoh presented a square-ish package to Ren, all the while beaming a wide smile for all to see, reminding one of the image of a sunny sunflower field.

A slightly surprised look came over Ren as he took the small package and flipped it over in his hand, intently inspecting it with narrowed yellow eyes.

"What is this about?" He inquired suspiciously, as he would to anything.

"It is a gift for you." Yoh said matter-of-factly.

"It is not my birthday today nor is it any special occasion." Stated Ren.

"I just want to give this to you…ne…just open it." The stirrings of a whine appeared, to which Ren responded to with an irritated look

"Fine!" he chewed out before proceeding to open the package.

Slender fingers slid to the plain-looking string that held the package close, picking up the two ends that connected to a knot and pulling at them. The string undid easily, falling lifelessly into the palm belonging to one of the set of fingers that had pulled it in the first place. The sides of the brown paper flopped down, revealing, in its simple action, a square-ish object.

Well, Ren mused, of course a square-ish package would contain a square-ish object.

Blinking curiously at the blank square etched on the top half and at the numbered buttons that decorated the bottom of the object, he plaintively asked.

"What is this?"

Yoh blinked. Ren blinked…and the shouting followed.

"WHATTTTT! YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT THIS IS?"

"SO? YOU CANNOT EXPECT ME TO KNOW EVERYTHING!"

Yoh shrink at Ren's heated reply but he continued his tirade, timidly this time.

"But…but it is very common nowadays. Everyone is using it and it is being advertised all over the streets…how can you not know what it is…"

"I do not know, okay? Just…tell me."

"Well, to start off, it is a cell phone."

At this, Ren's face contorted into a horrified expression.

"You mean one of those radiation-emitting cancer-causing..." Ren faltered, seemingly having trouble finding a word to complete his statement.

"Cell phone?" Yoh supplied helpfully.

"Thing!" Ren finished off, refusing to use the accursed word.

"It is not that bad." Yoh protested but Ren refused to be budged.

Pushing the cell phone into Yoh's hands, he bit out coldly, "Get this thing away from me. I refuse to take or use such a harmful item."

He turned and walked away but paused suddenly, as if some thought had ran through him at that very moment and changed his past set of thoughts. Then slowing and almost meaningfully, he changed direction and strode towards Yoh.

"And you shouldn't either." He said, almost unwillingly, before plucking the cell phone from Yoh's hands and flinging it into the conveniently-opened-by-one-random-environmentally-saving-soul-named-HoroHoro-that-so-happened-to-throw-something-in-it-at-that-time-dustbin some metres away.

"You…are worried about me?" Yoh asked, touched.

Ren scowled and blushed. Yoh leaned forward and slipped Ren into his arms, hugging him tightly and this is how they shared a tender moment…

"Hey! If you don't want this cell phone, can I have it?"

…until it was interrupted by one clueless HoroHoro, who also never found out the reason why he was docked by Ren that day.
