I don't own Teen Titans or the song 'Hello' by Evanescence.
Note: This is one (notice I said ONE) of the saddest things I've written so far, so bring tissues!
It was an ordinary day where the Titans lived. Terra still hadn't been cured, Beast Boy was utterly depressed, Raven was up in her room doing God only knows, and Cyborg was playing video games. Robin was on a date with Starfire. Everybody was happy, except Terra's roaming nomadic spirit and Beast Boy. Terra's spirit foated across a school as student from Jump City Elementary were being released for recess. Children flowed out of the doors yelling and screaming happily. She began to sing softly. "Playground school bell rings again..." Meanwhile, in Titans Tower, Beast Boy looked out the window.
"Rain clouds come to play again..." he sang as he looked sadly at a picture of the once bright and beautiful Terra Marcov. "Has no one told you shes not breathing?" Terra popped up beside him, the only problem was... she didn't think that he could see or hear her. Luckily, his perky ears heard the geomancer's lovely voice.
"Hello, I'm your mind. Giving you someone to talk to... Hello..." she sang glumly. BB straightened up. He could've sworn he had heard Terra's voice beside him, but, not seeing her, he looked back down at the picture and sighed. Terra frowned.
"If I smile and don't believe, soon I know I'll wake from this dream." he told himself. He shoved all of the thoughts of the other Titans to the back of his head and only thought of Terra. "Don't try to fix me, I'm not broken."
"Hello, I'm the lie living for you so you can hide..." Terra mimicked herself while she was working for Slade. She was ashamed of herself. If she didn't make that mistake, if she hadn't been so stupid, she would be alive and be right next to Beast Boy, crying with him. Tears rolled down his cheeks.
"Don't cry..." he tried to coax himself to stay calm, but he had already lost himself. In a dream, I can't die, so if I jump out of this window, I'd still be alive... he thought. He opened the window, wind blowing in his hair. He gulped. "Here goes nothin'..." he whispered to himself. Four stories up, and I'm gonna jump it to see if I'm asleep. Sounds ridiculous, but...
NO!" Terra screamed, ghostly tears in her eyes. She tried to grab him to save his life, but her fingers flew through his solid body. "BEAST BOOOOOOOY!" she screamed again. Suddenly, he slammed on the ground, blood coming from his head and chest.
"Suddenly I know I'm not sleeping..." he murmered, dying with every breathe he took and every word he said. His life began flashing before his eyes, but mostly memories of Terra. Their first date, their almost first kiss, the last time he ever saw her. But dying was a good thing, he thought. Now he'd get to see Terra again, and they'd be reunited for an eternity in heaven. Terra didn't think this though. He had ended something wonderful.
"Hello, I'm still here! All thats left of yesterday..." her spirit cried out and landed softly next to Beast Boy's body. A beam of light rose from the green and red flesh. Could it be? "Beast Boy...?" she whispered.
"Terra?" BB murmered, not in anymore pain from falling. He made an attempt to touch her cheek. She felt cold, but she was there. She was there? But how? He looked at himself. He saw through himself; blood stained grass and a familiar face on the ground. He pointed at the body. "Is that w-who I think it is?" Terra nodded. They both showed a soft smile.
"Now we'll be together. Forever." Terra said. The ghostly figures hugged, took each others by the hand, and ran of into the horizon laughing. They would be together at last.
