I Look at The Stars

Gandalf the White sighed, and watched Frodo. The hobbit was crying softly, for he had just left all his friends and life behind.

"Worry not, Frodo!" the Wizard cried. "You shall see Samwise again, and Merry, Pippin, Aragorn, and all the rest!" Frodo smiled slightly. "Good..."

Sam grinned widely. His son, Frodo, was telling the story of how the Hobbits had met Strider, alias Aragorn, to his little friends. "...And then Daddy said, 'I don't trust this here Strider!' And my namesake said that he did, and.." Sam smiled, and walked out the door. If he listened any more, he would start crying. He always did when he recalled his master. He had thought if he named his son Frodo, it would quench his sadness.

He was wrong. It made him feel worse instead of better. Sam looked up at the stars, and watched a shooting star go by. The moon seemed to have Frodo's face, which made the hobbit feel even more lonely. "Master Frodo...I.."

I look at the stars

I see you

Only you
I hear you in the wind

I hear you in the stories I read and tell

I wish I could watch the stars with you

And not remember the day I said goodbye

Sam walked back inside, and curled up into a ball on the floor.
