Mixed emotions

Ellyon sat in the throne room of the marydian castle. The war was over, Phobos was defeated and the world was saved. However, something troubled the young ruler. "I wonder" she started "did I really do the right thing, vanquishing my brother and all".
This thought ran through her head for a moment until there was a knock at the throne room door.
"You're highness" came a shrill voice "you have visitors". Ellyon realized who it was "send them in please" she said with a cheery disposition. She waited for a few moments, then a group of people came into the room. "Cornelia" yelled Ellyon "hey" replied the blond haired earth guardian.
The guardians of the vale had come to visit their best friend, the princess of marydian.
"Ready to go?" asked Will pointing to the door "of course" replied the princess.
Later
The girls walked through the marydian marketplace. As they did, Ellyon began to have serious doubts about the girls. "What if I was wrong?" she thought to herself "what if Phobos really was the good guy?". For the rest of the afternoon, she pondered her thoughts, until……
"Hey corny" called Irma to her friend "try some of this mutant leg, it's good eating".
Cornelia stared at the leg on a stick that was dripping brown ooz. Irma playfully waved it in her face as she backed away "no thanks" she replied as she used her powers to make a root trip Irma. They started arguing and afterward, laughed about the whole ordeal.
"Then again" thought Ellyon "maybe their a little to goofy to be evil, oh well, too late to find out now, I guess, even if they are evil, I could join them anyway". She ran to join the fun and helped Irma play a few pranks at the same time. For now, her mind was made up.
"Now I realize" she thought "I can trust these girls, because they are my best friends".
