The Call

Summary: Angel calls Buffy for help. Takes place during NFA, after he talks with Lindsey.

If you hate it, tell me why.

Angel watched as Lindsey walked out of his office. Once the door shut he walked over to his desk, sat down and pulled from his drawer a little black notebook.

Angel filed through the pages until he found what he was looking for.

Buffy Summers: 555-8923

Angel picked up his phone, made sure no one was coming and dialed her number. Angels hands trembled as he dialed, he didn't know if he was ready to speak to Buffy. Angel knew what he had to do, and he needed all the help he can get.

He put in the last number and the phone started to ring, he was still as nervous as ever.

The ringing stopped.
"Hello?" It was Giles that answered.
"Hello, its Angel, could I speak to Buffy?" asked Angel, still mad at Giles for not helping with Illyria.

Angel could hear Giles cleaning his glasses. "Y..yes. Of course." Angel heard a bunch of shuffling around and finally heard Buffy's beautiful voice.
"Hello Angel." she monotonously.

"Um. Helwo, I mean hello." Angel said.

"Angel what do you want?"

"Buffy, I…I need your help." Angel said.

"With what?" Buffy said, with a little urgency in her voice.

"We have an Apocalypse problem, we really need your help."

"Angel, I am sorry, but I have tons of slayers I am training and I….don't believe you." and with that, Buffy hung up the phone without saying goodbye.

Angel just put the phone down, got up from his desk and walked out of his office and went to Spikes.

I know, characters don't ct like themselves, but I wanted it like this. And I highly doubt Buffy would have hung up on Angel. Anyways, rate 1-5 stars.
