Chapter 5: A Girl Worth Fighting For
So all afternoon the guys walked through the city (Robin insisted they walk to get exercise)
looking for any kind of trouble. But it was a lot of walking, and they were starting to get tired.
All: For a long time we've been
marching off to battle
Cy: In a thund'ring herd we
feel a lot like cattle.
Beast Boy turned into a cow and mooed at Cy, then changed back to keep walking.
All: Like the pounding beat
our aching feet aren't
easy to ignore
BB: Hey, think of instead
A girl worth fighting for
Rae: Huh?
BB: That's what I said: a girl
worth fighting for
Raven moved away before she could see the picture Beast Boy took out of his pocket.
It was of her! (okay, so it's not a surprise)
BB: I want her paler than the moon
with eyes that shine like stars
Aqualad: My girl will marvel at my strength,
adore my battle scars
Cy: I couldn't care less what she'll wear
or what she looks like
It all depends on what she cooks like
Beef, pork, chicken . . .
Mmm . . .
The group walked through the park past a river.
Speedy: Bet the local girls
thought you were quite the charmer
Cyborg then pushed Speedy into the river.
BB: And I'll bet the ladies love
a man in armor
Beast Boy flexed his muscles as the others looked at him strangely.
Guys: You can guess what we have missed the most
since we went off to war
BB: What do we want?
Guys: A girl worth fighting for
Speedy: My girl will think I have no faults
Cy: That I'm a major find
Rae: How 'bout a girl who's got a brain
Who always speaks her mind?
Guys: Nah!
Aqualad: My manly ways and turn of phrase
are sure to thrill her
BB: He thinks he's such a lady-killer
BB then slapped Cy's behind and ran behind Raven. When Cy turned around all he saw was Aqualad standing there turned
the other way. So Cy punched him in the back of the head.
Robin took out a picture of Starfire for all to see.
Rob: I've a girl back home
who's unlike any other
BB: Yeah, the only girl who'd love him is his mother
Raven snickered while Robin shot them a death glare.
Guys: But when we come home in victory
they'll line up at the door
BB: What do we want?
Guys: A girl worth fighting for
BB: Wish that I had
Guys: A girl worth fighting for
All: A girl worth fighting-
Suddenly, the alarm went off and Robin shouted (of course), "Titans, Go!"
