Desperate Measures
They were hers again. No more distractions from that ugly girl or temptations to steal them from her. They sat in a large circle around her as they should: Yuki on one side, Kureno on the other. Haru and Rin didn't so much as glance at one another and Kisa sat far from Hiro. No, no more distractions at all.
As the Dragon and Snake danced in the center of the room, danced for her, she caught the Dragon's gaze and smiled. His frozen expression never wavered, his movements as cold as his soul as he danced her fears away.
