What is happening to me? One minute I hate his bloody guts and then the next, I have fallen in love with the git.
flashback
I was sitting beneath a tree out near the lake, just thinking.
"Oy, Lily!"
I know that voice, I thought.
The sight that came into view startled me. He had just finished Quidditch practice and was all dirty and sweaty. But, oh, he looked so handsome with his ruffled hair. There used to be a time when every single hair on his head annoyed the heck out of me. He used to be so arrogant about it, his hair, quidditch, girls, me! But now it's different. He's...changed.
"What do you want, Potter?"
"Well, I thought I would escort this beautiful red haired damsel in distress back to the castle. Because if you look to the sky, there are some pretty ugly rain clouds coming this way," he said nervously, but confidently. He probably had that whole speech planned out before he reached me, I thought.
That is how he always acts around me. He always seems jumpy and has to think of what to say. Which is totally not like his usual self around other girls.
Could he really like me?
Whoa! Of course not! This is the famous James Potter who supposedly has dated every girl in the school. (Except Slytherin)
" But I like the rain." I replied with a trace of a smirk.
The look on his face was utterly priceless. He stood with his mouth open like a gaping fish. At that exact moment, it seemed as if the sky had opened up, and it started to pour down rain.
And I really do love the rain. It is so peaceful and relaxing. I got up and started spinning and dancing, completely oblivious to the fact that he was still standing there, watching me.I feel an arm snake around my waist, and a hand grabs mine. Startled out of my dancing, I open my eyes and James' face is only inches away from mine. We start dancing to music only we can hear. And surprisingly, his is a pretty good dancer.
I got lost in his hazel eyes, deep pools of gold that showed his true personality. Not the arrogant, spoiled Potter, but the loving, caring, charming James. I found myself leaning closer to him, falling deeper and deeper into the pools of gold.
And we kissed. I kissed James Potter. James Potter kissed me. It was sweet, simple, and... perfect. Just like the drops of rain falling onto our faces.
He opened his eyes and pulled me closer to him.
" I like the rain, too."
