"Might I remind you that you were getting your stubborn ass whipped by Kouga and-"
"I was doing just fine!"
"I had it under control!"
"No, you didn't! You were thrown over his shoulder and he was gonna haul you away like some bag of luggage!"
"I said I had it under control! And why do you care? What if I wanted to be dragged away?" Ouch. This struck Inuyasha like a slap in the face.
"Because-"
"SIT! I don't wanna hear it!"

"SIT!"
"Love-" Kagome was starting to cry now…
"Kikyo, I know! SIT!"
"YOU!"
"SI…" Kagome stopped abruptly. "You what?…" Inuyasha was pulling himself off the ground from the affect of the spell.
"I- Love… you…" Inuyasha looked down to his feet. He knew she didn't love him, he knew she'd turn him away. He started to turn away while Kagome stood motionless, still in shock. He didn't know what to do but to flee from this awkward moment and hope she'd pretend nothing happened.
"Inuyasha," she finally spoke. "I love you too." Inuyasha stopped and turned back at Kagome. She gave him a smile overflowing with happiness and love. She loved him too… She loved him too! Only a few feet were between them and Inuyasha and Kagome were quick to close the space. Kagome fell into Inuyasha's arms and he held her in a warm embrace. Both of them savored this rare moment as they let it sink into their brains. They'd remember it forever.
Suddenly, the wind rose around them, then settled as quickly as it started only to reveal another creature in their midst….
