Teaser: Ren wakes up and finds himself in bed with Yoh and their legs entwined. The first thing he thinks of—it must be someone's practical joke… YohRen

A Practical Joke

Ren stirred from his slumber. It was morning already and he could tell from the way everything was painted a glowing white in the room. He shifted, ready to get out of bed when he realized his legs were stuck…or more precisely, he felt the legs of another tangled securely onto his. Ren's face blanched as he moved his eyes up to see the face of his bedmate.

"Ah! Yoh!" Ren screamed. He raised himself to stare at the sleeping boy. Stupefied, his mind boggled to find just how they had ended up this way.

"How did I end up in Yoh's room? And in his BED!"

"Did I come in here…? NO! I don't do things like this!"

"Did Yoh do this…no NO…Yoh would never do something like that…"

"Sleepwalking! Yes, that must be it! I must've sleepwalked into Yoh's room and fell asleep on his bed and got into this position with him!"

"…but I never sleepwalk…" As Ren pondered, he realized that even though he's already put some distance between himself and Yoh, one of his legs was still tangled in between Yoh's. "Waah!" the boy made a cry in distraught and kicked the other's body away from him as he scrambled away.

"A joke! Yes, this must be a joke by someone!"

"…but I remember locking my door before going to sleep…"

"The window! Someone must have climbed in through it…but it's locked…"

"Ah ha! Someone must've picked the lock to my window! But my room is on the second floor and there's nothing to climb up to it…"

"A ladder! Someone must've used a ladder in the middle of the night, picked the lock to my window, came into my room, took me to Yoh's room down the hall without my knowing and placed Yoh and I together into this embarrassing position!"

"That's it!" he concluded, "And who else would be dumb enough to play such a practical joke." He dropped out of the bed and proceeded out the room to find his Kwan-Dao and Chocolove. When he wasn't there anymore, Bason appeared from one of the bedroom's walls. The small round spirit had tears streaming down his face. He had seen the entire thing that occurred last night, of how his young master rose from bed in the middle of the night, walked down the hall and made purring sounds from Yoh's bedroom doorway in such an uncharacteristic way.

And Yoh, who had been more than happy to accept, patted for Ren to come over by his side on his bed. The spiked haired boy jumped happily onto Yoh's bed, making a squeal of glee as he did so, and the two cuddled up and remained that way for the rest of the night. Sadly, Bason contemplated whether to tell his young master the truth or not. And as he worried, Yoh turned over contentedly on the bed.

He smiled as he mumbled sweetly in his sleep, "Ren…"

Okay…that was… ahem!

A delve into Ren's mind. Ren strikes me as a person who will never admit to things about himself that he couldn't understand. As a result there are a lot of repressed feelings in that little body and one night it just all comes oozing out as he gushes over his favorite favorite person—Yoh-tan! You might've wanted to think of this as a RenYoh, but I'd like to think of this as a YohRen cause Ren is always the uke
