Jade froze, staring at Drago as he screamed at her, tears of liquid flame rolling down his angular features, his eyes burning with an inner flame that she had only seen once before, "I trusted you, I loved you with all my heart and you couldn't trust me enough to tell me that you were keeping my bastard of a father in the basement!"

Jade just stood there, her thoughts raced, trying to catch up with what her enemy was saying, 'is this my fault, could I have prevented this?' Drago summoned a fireball into his hand and stalked towards her, his face was still as stone except for the tears that ran down his cheeks in torrents. Jade couldn't move so she watched in horror as he stopped right in front of her, raising his hand to strike. She closed her eyes waiting for death to come. 'It's my fault; I brought this on us… fits that I should pay the price…' But it never came. Jade opened her eyes to see Drago standing there his hand still raised and eyes shut tight against the tears still running down his cheeks a look of intense pain contorting his features.

Drago eyes slid open revealing their blood red depths, eyes that she had loathed for so long, as they met Jades golden orbs, Drago's fireball dissipated and he fell to the ground sobbing uncontrollably. Jade stared at him for a moment before she dropped down next to him, cradling his lithe form in her arms, "I can't do it I just can't," she heard him whimper between sobs.

At that moment the others came bursting through the doors: Jackie, the young Jade, Uncle, and Captain Black, along with some section 13 personnel. They stopped just inside the door, gaping at the chaos that surrounded them. The room was smashed, piles of burning rubble everywhere, and the walls were cracked with huge scorch marks that doted them. The pillars were broken and crumbled, and in the middle of it all the lovers turned enemies sat, a bubble of calm on a raging sea.

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, it's all my fault, I'm sorry," repeatedly into Drago's hair. He just continued to cry in her arms giving no sign that he had heard her but even harder sobs. No one moved until Uncle sighed and, started setting up a chi-spell that would send them to their own time.

Jade looked up at her family and managed to say "Thank you," before the both of them were pulled into the time stream to the future. When the world finally stopped spinning she looked down at her friend. As he sat up and turned to face her, she leaned forward and placed a soft loving kiss on his lips; pulling away she looked deep into his eyes and said, "I love you."

Drago was slightly stunned, for years they had fought each other, hated each other, but now it was all gone, gone, to be replaced by a love that each had thought dead. He reached out, brushing away a tear from her cheek, "I never stopped," he lent forward slightly and tilting her head up to his, placed a gently yet passionate kiss upon her lips. Jade curled her arms around Drago's neck deepening the kiss, leaning back she pulled Drago him on top of her, and she realized, that she had never stopped loving him either.
