A American Friend
Chapter 1
Hi my name is Hiroshi Jamie Matsurra, I'm 15 years old and my parents
have been separated for the past two years. My mom and me stayed in
America even though she's a Mexican. While my father went to his
hometown in Tokyo, Japan. Since the two years my parents have been apart
I haven't seen my dad sometimes he'll send me letters in Japanese and I write
back to him in Japanese as well. My dad and me have a very close
relationship, and that's why I'll be staying with him for a year in Tokyo. I'm
going to attend high school there and live at his house. He says that he lives
near an ancient shrine, I think it's called the Higuashi shrine or something
like that. My dad told me that the owner of the shrine and him do a lot of
business with each other. I think he said that it's a grandpa and his daughter
and her two kids, There's a girl who's supposed to be the same age as me her
name is Kagome and her little brother Sota. My dad says that I might go to
the same school with Kagome so that it would be easier for me to get used to
the town. My dad keeps telling the owner about me and there all exited
about meeting me. Well I'm leaving tomorrow and I'll miss my mom. I
promised to write back to her as often as I could or send a quick
E-mail when I get there. So far I'm taking everything with me, my clothes,
my laptop, my beautiful black electric guitar, and my CD's although I am
worried about lies ahead of me. I mean I've never been to Japan and I don't
know if I'll make friends at the new school. I know for sure I won't have a
problem speaking and writing in Japanese. But still I worry I hope I like it
there. Its 10:00 right now and my eyes are heavy, I get in bed and pull the
blankets over my shoulders then sleep overtakes me.
