Summary: Two people are affected by death
Author's Note: I'm as upset as the rest of you about the
upcoming season finale. So I wrote this as a way to ease the pain for
all of us. It can be any pair you want having this conversation, this
one is meant for everyone.
They found themselves on the elevator together, not an unusual occurrence, but unexpected today. The death had shaken them all to the core, everyone was still in shock over the loss.
He looked at her, the sorrow evident in her eyes. "Are you going to be okay?" he asked softly.
She shook her head. "It won't be the same around here," came her equally soft reply.
She met his eyes, they knew there were feelings long buried, feelings that today could no longer be hidden, lest they lose one another. He flipped the switch that stopped the elevator as she reached for him. They wrapped themselves in a passionate embrace, saying without words everything they'd hidden from each other for two years.
As they broke apart, each whispered words of love and promise before they continued on their way, their sorrow eased by the bond they now shared.
