"Well, it's the end of the world as we know it, and my life's come crashing down. By killing off the only woman he's ever loved, they've forced maturity on our 'clown'." Hmm. That was pretty good for off the top of my head. :D Oh, and this is the poem I won the poetry contest with. :D Enjoy! Reviews would be much appreciated in my time of grief.
Forever Torn,
Alex
Sometimes
Sometimes when you cry, no one sees your tears.
You run
away and hide, so no one sees your fears.
Sometimes when you ache,
no one sees your pain.
They can't see emotions hidden by the
nonchalance you feign.
Sometimes when you're angry, you turn
your back on me.
You're tired and feel like giving up, and wish
this life would cease.
Sometimes when you're troubled, you stare
off into space.
No one knows you're worried; you won't let us
see your face.
Sometimes you let down your walls and I peer
into your eyes.
I see your nightmares and broken dreams, shattered
by thoughtless lies.
Sometimes you're conflicted and let me help
you deal.
But when you're torn I'm pushed away to give you
time to heal.
Sometimes when you fall, I see through your
façade.
I catch you before you hit the ground; you just
thank me with a nod.
Sometimes you're so cold, I can't fathom
what you've said.
But beneath the surface lies remnants of the
lonely life you've led.Sometimes when you're jealous,
you say things you don't mean.
And bitter thoughts unvoiced
aren't always emotions gone unseen.
Sometime everyone needs
someone- sometimes more than others.
And sometimes in that time of
comfort friends can become brothers.
I think it's time you
changed your mind about what you believe
because no matter how you
hide inside, someone always sees.
