Chapter 1-Hogwarts express and the School

(Normal POV)

A girl sat alone in on of the many compartments of the train. Three people walked in. They just

kept staring at her, it made her nervous.

"Do you mind if we sit here?" asked a girl around her age, this girl had bushy brown hair.

"No, I don't mind." She said with a little venom in her voice

"My name's Hermione Granger, this is Ron Weasley and Harry Potter."

"Alright, I heard I might meet you Harry."

"Where did you hear that from?" the Potter boy asked

Hermione could tell that this girl that she just met didn't want to talk about it so she changed the subject.

"What's your name? You never mentioned." She asked in a hurry.

"Maria, Maria Carson. I come from America."

"Really, what's it like?" asked Ron

"I'll tell y'all later, I'm too tired."

After this she fell asleep as soon as her head hit her squashy pillow. When Maria woke up she was at Hogwarts, well, the train station at least.

(This part is In the Great Hall!)

"Now fourth year, Maria Carson" all of the people at the tables clapped politely. Professor McGonagall put the sorting hat on her head.

"a fourth year transferring form, her home, ah, you were home-schooled. You have a lot of courage in you, that's good, you also can get away with anything when you put your mind to it, that's also good. GRYFFINDOR!" the hat screamed. Maria could tell that this was probably going to be a long year according to Severus's eyes. Yes, she knew Professor Snape.

"This year Professor Lupin is back to teach DADA with Professor Sirius Black!" Cheering filled the air
