"Hi my name is Alexis Chihero Hunter Honda, but you can call me Alexis Honda. I'm 16 years old and my father, Yoji, has just had us transferred to Japan from America. My mother died two months ago from heart problems. Since then my father has been trying to get the Navy to let him return to his home country with me. I've been just about every where except Japan. Father says it's because he was saving the best for last. All I know is that its time I learned the other half of my heredity. You see I'm half-American and half-Japanese. But, you'd never know it by looking at me. That's another reason I think dad wanted to come back. If you took one look at me you'd think I was a very bad girl. I'm not though! I just look that way from years of ummm…lets stop talking about my past.Anyways, this is where we begin my first day in Japan."

As the plane landed in Japan, Alexis turned down her CD player just enough to hear her father say, "Why do you listen to that shit for anyways?"

"Because it's soothing and I like it dad."

"Well its time to go so turn it off and come on."

Alexis turned it off and got up to follow her father when his bag fell from the over head onto her foot. "OUCH!"

"Oh Lex I'm sorry…Are you okay?"

"Yeah I'm fine."

They walked off the plane and got their luggage. Yoji stopped by the car rentals and got a car for the afternoon. Thankful Yoji remembered enough to get them to their new home. "It's down a little dirty path surrounded by trees." Stated Yoji.

When they finally found it Alexis was surprised by how big it was and its shape. It is so geometrical and so unique that Alexis loved it right off.

"WOW Dad…This is some house. How many bedrooms are there in it?"

"Well let's see there are three bedrooms on the second floor and one big one on the third floor."

"Should I ask how many bathrooms?"

"Umm…I think there are three and a half. One on each floor except second because then there is one adjacent to the master bedroom."

"WOW!"

"Yep"

"So which room can I have?"

"Well I don't know. I haven't even looked myself."

"Guess we better than huh?"

They settled in quickly. With lots of time left over to check out Alexis new school. Though Alexis has been to tons of different schools she's never been to one where you must wear a uniform. But she knew that she would before hand and just accepted it anyways. But today she got to see what they looked like from far away.

"It's not that bad Lex. What do you say?"

"It's okay. I wonder if they would mind if I wore it my own way with my own style."

"They probably will that's why they have uniforms dear."

"Oh yeah…oh well I tried!"

"Your nuts Lex."

"I know I get it form you."

Alexis looked on at the students as they left school. She hoped that they would accept her even though she wasn't one of them. 'Maybe they would be like all the other people I've met always curious about where I've been and what I've seen.' That's when she saw a boy with bright orange hair, one with a light purplish color, and a girl with long brown hair leaving school. 'Oh I do hope they could be my friends since their hair colors are like mine.'

"Wow, look at those boys hair…well I doubt they will have a problem with yours then. Yours is natural and those two look like they were trying to hard."

"DAD! I like it. It's unique."

"You would!" he whispered back.

"What was that?"

"Nothing, didn't say anything at all."

" Mmm-huh."

They drove back home after that and Alexis got ready for school the next day. Since she still didn't have a uniform she just picked out her favorite outfit and decided to wear it.
