Note: Not Beta'd and I know nothing about American Football so I'm making it up as I go alone.

Elizabeth snuggled up next to John on the couch underneath the blanket that had been added as a permanent fixture in the TV room. John draped his arm around her shoulders and kissed her forehead.

John was forcing her to watch his football video again but this time he was teaching her about the finer points of football, not that she understood what he was talking about. Elizabeth turned to John.

"John, this makes no sense."

John looked down at her with a mock glare and shook his head.

"Elizabeth, if I can teach Teyla about football and she's not even from Earth I can surely teach you, now…"

Elizabeth stared at John as he continued to go on about the Quarterback and Receiver.
She could see herself loving this man; they'd only been together, publicly, for a few months, but since than she'd found herself getting more and more enthralled by him.

Girl slow down, this is John we're talking about, he's a flyboy, all he knows is conquer and leave

That voice in her head had been shouting at her since it started that there was no possible future between them, but then again, he was the one who pursued the relationship, he was the one who wanted to go public with it. She'd been the one that held back.

Elizabeth was broke out of her musing when someone sat down by her feet and she heard John sigh.

"Well, there goes our evening"

Elizabeth looked across her shoulder and saw Rodney sat by her feet as Aiden and a reluctant Teyla, she probably knew they wanted a quiet evening alone, entered the TV room.

Elizabeth sighed, swung her legs of the couch and settled for sitting normally with her head still on John's chest.

"So what you watching?"

Rodney shovelled a handful of popcorn into his mouth totally unaware that the group had just spoilt John and Elizabeth's together time.
Teyla sat down next to Elisabeth and smiled apologetically while Aiden sat down in front of Teyla and wrapped his arm around her leg.
Elizabeth sighed quietly and looked at John, suddenly getting an idea, she smirked and John understood completely what she was suggesting, he smiled and cleared his throat.

"Well, I think I'm going to turn in, big mission tomorrow."

Rodney barely noticed he'd said anything, he just waved his hand and got popcorn all over Teyla.
Elizabeth faked a yawn and stood up.

"I've got an early briefing in the morning so I think I'll turn in too."

Teyla shot Elizabeth a look and Elizabeth smiled sweetly at her and followed John out of the TV room, snatching a handful of popcorn as she did.
Aiden untangled himself from Teyla and sat next to her draping his arm around her in the same manner as John did to Elizabeth.
Teyla turned to Aiden and smiled

"They are truly meant to be with each other."

Aiden nodded and Rodney turned to them

"Who?"

Aiden looked at him in disbelief.

"Weir and the Major"

Rodney choked on his popcorn.

"They're together, when did this happen?"

Aiden shook his head and turned back to the TV.
