Prisoner
It was dark and most humans still slept while I hunted, but this night I was at a disadvantage. Kain, my lord has strict guide line that we must follow for our own protection. Being fledged only months before, and stronger than most humans, I still lacked the strength I needed. Tonight I went against these rules and was hunting the sarafhan warriors. These warriors lived to kill my kind, and tonight I would kill them.
I was outside the sarafhan stronghold near the front gate, there were three guards. One was on the roof, and two on each side of the gate. I was strong but not strong enough to fight three sarafhan and live. I would have to find another way into the city, so I turned to go back when I was hit by the human. I fell and as I did everything went black.
When I awoke I was in a cell by myself, as I stood to shake the daze I heard voices.
"Look the creature awakens, ha ha ha." a guard said as the other laughed.
I reached for my sword at my side.
"Looking for this?" the guard said again.
I knew that speaking would not do anything so I turned and sat in a corner and waited. Sleep did not come quickly but eventually came. Just as I had fallen asleep I was awaken by a guard. I stood to fight but was only struck down. Again I stood and again I was struck down. This happened several times until I fell and did not rise, the human drug me out of my cell and into a hallway that led us to a room that was bare and rough. I was thrown into a wall and chained in place.
"My name is Tikal, and I am the leader of this city." Tikal said.
I drooped down in my chains and waited.
"What nothing to say, surely you wish to curse and scream like all your kind do… NO?" he said.
"Like all humans you are not worth my air!" I spat.
WHAM!
He struck me into the wall as he screamed his rage.
I stood up and awaited the next blow which came quickly and hit me in the stomach. Again I fell and stood.
"You vampire never learn do you… okay let some light in." Tikal ordered.
There was a grating noise then a hole was opening in the ceiling, a single light came in and struck me in the chest and then washed over my whole body.
"No it seems that you humans never learn, because I am no ordinary vampire." I said as all the humans backed away and drew their weapons.
