Sesshomaru and Jaken were walking down a smooth, straight country lane. As usual, Rin was accompanying them. She jumped at every butterfly and tried to stroke its wings. Rin chased after the rabbits and giggled each time she caught one. Sesshomaru was walking his usual stroll, speechless. Jaken was trying to catch up to them as he ran with his two-headed staff in his green, warty hands.

"Lord Sesshomaru! Look, I picked this for you." Rin ran up to Sesshomaru and handed him a special red poppy flower. She smiled at her accomplishment.

"Twerp! Lord Sesshomaru doesn't need mere flowers. And he definitely doesn't need you to pick some for him!" Jaken yelled.

Rin paid no attention to him. "You can put it in your hair if you like." She said. Sesshomaru looked dumbfounded and continued walking with the poppy in his hands.

"Here, I'll help you." Rin climbed on top of Sesshomaru and stuck the flower in his hair. She giggled. "Lord Sesshomaru, you look beautiful!" She said.

Sesshomaru was bewildered. He started to take the poppy out of his long hair. "Rin…" He started to say.

"No no! Don't take it out. Don't you want to be pretty?" Rin said. Sesshomaru put the flower back in his hair and sighed. But he wasn't sad. He'd do anything for Rin. Jaken scoffed and groaned.

Sesshomaru, Rin, and Jaken walked on. They were quiet for quite a while, until Sesshomaru sensed something behind him. He turned around in a flash instinctively.

But it wasn't a big giant monster behind him, bent on killing them. It wasn't that noisy Inuyasha, or Kagura. It was… an old, crumbling woman.

"Excuse me, miss?" The old woman said. The "miss" she said was referring to Sesshomaru. His jaw dropped.

"How dare you! Lord Seshomaru is not a weak little lady like you. He is Lord of the West! Not to get confused with the Wicked Witch of the West."

"Oh my, I'm terribly sorry, my lord. I heard from a village you passed by that-"

"Leave us alone. We want none of your trouble." Sesshomaru said.

"But you do not understand. That little girl-" The old woman continued.

Jaken smashed his staff on the ground. "Didn't you hear him? You whelp. Lord Sesshomaru said to leave us alone. So leave us alone! Or else Lord Sesshomaru will have to use his awesome power on you!"

"Please, hear me out."

"Fine. Speak." Sesshomaru said surely.

"Thank you. Do you have a little girl, about eight, with you?" The old woman asked kindly.

"Why are you asking?" Sesshomaru said.

Suddenly, Rin ran out from behind Sesshomaru. She gasped.

"You see, she's my daughter."

A/N : What should happen next? Please review and tell me: Should Rin stay with Sesshomaru or leave with her long lost mother? I'm kinda leaning towards her staying with Sesshomaru. Review and tell me what you think! And if you have any other suggestions, please tell me. OKAY? Thanx!
