Ok. This was my first-ever poem that I had to write for a class project. My teach didn't really understand what I was talking about, so I had to include translations in my final copy. The face she made when she read it for the first time was hilarious!
And speaking of firsts, it's also my first fic in the Naruto fandom. I've been getting really into Naruto lately, so I'd been wanting to write something about it. I was really surprised that my desire came out in poem form, since I usually carry on and on in my other fics.
Well, enough blabbing. Please read and then review when you're done! I really want to know how I do!
Looking in the mirror
I see blonde locks,
Blue eyes, and whisker marks.
Why do they see different?
…Them…
The mere thought
Brings tears of anger,
Of hate, and regret.
They don't recognize
The differences between
Kyuubi and myself.
…Them…
They see auburn
In place of blonde,
Blood red instead of
Eyes of sky without clouds.
The only thing we share
Are our ever-present whiskers;
Is that really enough
To make us seem the same?
…Them…
They make my life miserable,
With their hateful glares
And snide remarks.
They don't bother to
Hide their faces, lower their voices.
Whatever for?
"He's a beast with no feelings.
Nothing can bring him down."
I know that's what they think.
I honestly don't care much anymore.
…Them…
They don't see me;
Never me, always Kyuubi.
Someday I'll prove them wrong.
They'll see a blonde shinobi
With loud orange clothes.
They'll see a great Hokage
With eyes of sky without clouds.
Someday they'll see me,
Uzumaki, Naruto.
Until then, I wonder,
Why do they see different?
