Prologue- A little history
A meteorite with the diameter of a large town (10km), travelling 70 times faster than a conventional jet plane (20km/s) and colliding with the Earth at an impact equal to 100 million nuclear warheads. This is the event many believe to have caused the death of the dinosaurs around 65 million years ago. Most people, if they know this theory, believe in it. I do not. There is one major flaw in the theory. Why were the Dinosaurs and Pterosaurs, as well as their close cousins such as Ichthyosaurs and Mosasaurs terminated, while mammals, most birds, lizards and even crocodilians survived?
The following chapters will outline my own, if slightly outrageous, theory of how Dinosaurs and similar creatures perished from the face of the Earth, while many other animals survived. I hope I did it in an interesting way by putting it into a story, but I may not have.
