The Sage of Stone

Chapter 1

Legends speak of many tales. Some may be true, some not. One legend tells of ten Sages, one of each element, who were granted their powers by an immortal from another dimention. They only have to promise one thing: they can never use their powers for evil, only to protect. If they break their promise, the immortal will take their powers away permanently. One Sage has broken this promise: The Sage of Stone.

On a cold, snowy December night, a hooded figure walkes through the snow-fallen desert. The

figure approaches Jump City and seeks out the ones called the Titans. She comes to the lake and

sees a gigantic T. She does not stall. She puts one foot on the water's surface. A single glowing

ripple appeares under her foot, then fades away. She walkes, in the still of the night, atop the

surface of the water, with a single, glowing ripple under each step towards the tower.

"Gasp!" Raven's eyes shot open as she sat up in the still of the night. She noticed she had

goosebumps. "It is freezing in here!" She whispered to herself. She was sleeping in a black, baggy,

long-sleeved shirt and loose, dark blue pants. She pulled more sheets on to her bed and went back to

sleep.

The hooded figure stepped on to the island where the tower stood. "This is the place." She

said. From under her cloak, she pulled out a gold pole, about 5' tall. A crescent-shaped band of light

appeared on top of the pole, then turned to solid. A second smaller crescent-shaped band appeared

in the center of the larger one and turned solid. Ten different-colored orbs appeared horizontally

around the larger crescent in a circle. Each was a different color. There was a purple, yellow, red,

brown, green, blue, bronze, white, light blue, and an orange one.

The red orb shifted to the front and a light red aura engulfed it. A huge blaze of fire

appeared on the ground, then was extinguished. A teenage girl stood where the flame was. She had

short, red hair that only went to about the bottom of her ear. She wore a hooded black sweatshirt,

baggy blue jeans, and black shoes.

"Aera!" Exclaimed Flaire, the Sage of Fire. Flaire ran up to Aera and hugged her. "I

haven't seen you in months! Where have you been?" Aera pointed to the tower. "Here is the Titans

Tower." She said. "These people know where we will find the Sage of Stone." Flaire looked at the

tower and said, "You mean...Terra?"
