Author's Notes: Yeah. Another fic written during school. Do you really want to know how long it took? A little bit of English class... Most of science, and some of math. Goes to show you how slow of a writer I am. I'm just plain slow, okay?
Disclaimer: I disclaim the ownage of Kingdom Hearts! And, no, ownage isn't a word, but you get the point, right?
Warnings: Shounen ai. Because everyone has to love boys... who love boys.

"Riku?"
"Hmm?"
"What if... What if, after we leave the islands, we forget everything?"
"Don't be silly."
The next five minutes were followed with silence as Riku, Sora, and Kairi worked on their raft that they were going to use to sail off Destiny Islands and explore new worlds. The two boys were building the raft, while the girl was off collecting supplies.
Sighing, the 14-year-old brunette asked quietly, "But what if we do?"
Riku stopped what he was doing, looking up and Sora, who immediately pretended he was still working on the raft. Dropping the log he was carrying, he brushed a few strands of silver hair out of his eyes. "Sora..."
"And what if we forget all out friends! I don't--"
"We won't."
"--I don't want to forget the islands, and--"
"Sora, we won't."
"--I don't want to forget everything that's happened, and--"
"Sora!"
The boy fell silent.
"We won't."
Sniffing, blue eyes looked at Riku pleadingly. "I don't want to forget you, Riku," he mumbled.
The 15-year-old smiled, wrapping his arms around the smaller boy and pulling him into a reassuring hug. "We won't... forget... anything. And if we do, it will be okay... We'll find a way to remember. We'll always have each other, Sora."
Wrapping his arms around the silver-haired boy and returning the hug, Sora nodded.
Letting go and ending the embrace, the two boys completely ignored the fact that they still had much to do on the raft, and sat themselves down on the hot sand, blue eyes staring on the ground, and aquamarine eyes watching the smaller one.
Feeling Riku's gaze on him, Sora looked up, and their eyes locked.
"Besides," the older one began, "I would gladly give up all my memories for a chance to get off these islands."
"All of them?"
"All of them." He thought about it for a moment, before adding, "Except, maybe, a few."
Blinking, Sora asked with genuine curiosity, "Which ones?"
"The ones of you." He smirked.
Blushing, Sora grinned and looked back down. "Oh... But how can you not worry, Riku? How can you be so sure?" His blush deepened when he felt Riku's hand on his face, forcing him to look at the older boy.
Riku moved closer to Sora, their faces only inches away. "Because, Sora..." He closed his eyes and pressed his lips against the brunette's in a light kiss.
The younger of the two was taken aback, at first, but after a second, his fluttered closed and he responded to the kiss.
Pulling away, the silver-haired boy smiled, whispering, "Because... I love you."
Sora beamed. " I love you, too, Riku..." This time, he engaged a kiss, and Riku was more than willing to respond by kissing back.
And for that one blissful moment, everything else was left forgotten.
Author's Note 2: It's... short. Really short. But you'll still review, right? My grade nine farewell is Thursday. High school next year (where I live, it's K-6 is elementary, 7-9 is junior high, and 10-12 is high school)! I got into all of the courses I wanted; Japanese, construction (my mom is making me take it), and beginning guitar. I'm also in the leadership program. Me. All my friends are wondering how the hell that happened. My new school is doomed. Anyways, I'm also going to my friend's on Friday (she goes to a different school). I shall wear a kimono to both! Mwahaha! Heh. So, yeah!
Review! Now! I command you!
