CHAPTER ONE
It was the first day of school for me and I had just met Hagrid. He was a nice fellow, very loud. "You excited Michelle?"
"Yes, quite a bit nervous though," I replied. This was a big day for me. I had just found out I had magical powers about a month ago (both my parents did also and I knew that but I did not know I did also).
So it was time for sorting. "Hufflepuff!" was where I had to be, according to the Sorting Hat. So I took my things up to the Girl Dormitory. I went to the Common Room where there were about 30 Hufflepuffs chatting. They were waiting for the first Quidditch Game of the season. A week earlier, I had watched the team practice. I met Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. They were very nice and I became very good friends with them, despite our house differences.
"I hope you can go to my first Quidditch game," Harry told me.
"Of course I will go," I replied. I wanted to see this game very badly. I knew I was supposed to cheer for Hufflepuff, but I wanted to stick with my friends. After all, they were fifth years and I was first. And I did not really have any friends, plus they knew a lot about Hogwarts. So Ron, Hermione, and I went to the stadium to watch Harry.
Two hours later, Harry had won a victory for Gryffindor. I left, hoping a professor would not catch me with Gryffindors. Luckily, I made it safely to my room.
"See you tomorrow," The three of them told me, as I walked into the room.
