'Thoughts'

In the middle of a Nightmare

>Collette's POV

'Just another school day...'

With the thought in mind I try to open my eyes, but the sunlight blind me completely for some time. Immediately I raised my hand to block the light. Finally letting my eyes adjusted to the light I seated up only to feel deep pain in my head. After some time I got the headache under control to the point of almost ignoring it. Then, I notice something strange…

The soft bed I thought I was seated on was a dirty old rug. My usually clean and neatly arranged room was replaced with a small-size room with dirty walls that seem to have been white; Things that were once useful, now were junk all over the place; some broken windows and also devoid of any possible furniture. Not just that, but also that I was completely alone.

I stood up cleaning some dirt off my blue jeans…. 'BLUE JEANS!' my mind suddenly scream when I notice the little detail. Shrugging, I went to look out the window. The sky was a stormy gray; the sun, barely visible through the clouds indicate that it was almost noon. It's light was enough to see clearly the town below. Some houses and buildings were on fire. The streets were deserted with cars crashed and papers everywhere. Everything was silent, giving me the creepy feeling of a past chaos living behind an unknown danger taken out of a mystery book.

Forgetting the school and that feeling, I began to figure out a way of getting out of this unknown place. But from where I currently was, I couldn't find one.

So the plan: Get to the tallest building nearby. Then… uh.. I'll figure it out later..

The bad news: It was some blocks away to what seems the south, completely out of view. sweatdrop

Hmmm…

"Well," I mumbled nervously out loud, "it couldn't be that bad right?" A raven outside screech like answering me. With that thought in mind I search the room only to find a bat and nothing else useful. Still with the thought and the aluminum/metal bat I found in hand, I decide to leave to complete my goal. And that's when hell broke lose.
