Red and Black Roses

Frail and yet so strong,

Passionate and beautiful yet a thorn in your side,

Petals like silk float on the wind

Spiraling, swirling and falling to my feet.

Colors of crimson red mixed with the shadows black,

Dancing in the moonlit night like the breeze,

Whispering untold secrets in my ear as I stand,

Swaying and gliding with elegant ease.

Your petals of the night and blood reflecting the glow from above,

Bowing to the night and rising to the moon,

I stand at your side watching your dance,

Yet even in the now still air do you display,

More secret and sacred love unfolding on your wings.

Red and black roses in the moonlight,

My love and paradise.
