"….Wait, with all those thoughts of revenge and the thirst for power……I think he's too dense to see anything else….but…..I had been so forward with my advances even the blind could see it…and he is THE UCHIHA Sasuke….an UCHIHA for goodness sake…supposedly blessed with good looks, miraculous chakra powers, those piercing eyes, high stamina, those piercing eyes, wonderful piece of brain sitting on his head, a beautiful set of dark eyes to pierce the scene with…ahhh….those piercing dark eyes of his really send shivers down my spine…."

"Sakura san, are you alright? You are shivering all over and you have this weird dreamy look….if you're worried bout Sasuke-kun, dun worry because Naruto-kun gave you his nice guy pose that means he'll definitely bring Sasuke-kun back for you." Lee's voice broke through Sakura's lingering thoughts on Sasuke. She brought her hands up to her front in a hopeful manner and put on her best face before turning to Lee.

"I trust Naruto…Sasuke will be back in no time."

"Un…"

It has been a week since the team comprising of genins have returned to the village amidst near fatal injuries but with no Sasuke. The bags under Sakura eyes are getting heavier by the day almost thick enough to rival that of Gaara's. Nights filled with thoughts of Sasuke and his well-being kept her awake through the night. Sasuke's Sharingan had been haunting and taunting her dreams night after night. Her arms hurt and her body aches from all the training she had been getting from Tsunade-sama.

Finally, Sakura sat up from her bed and decided to go out for a walk. It is hopeless to get any sleep tonight either. She swayed a little, when her legs hit the floor. Darkness swirled around her as her head throbs painfully from the lack of sleep but it soon clears and she unsteadily made her way out the door.

Her steps echoed heavily through the silent village. Like a preprogrammed robot her legs took her to the training field. The same field Team 7 was formed. A field filled with memories of the good old days. She went to the piece of log lodged in the ground, the very place where Naruto was tied to on their first task together as a team and rubbed the cracked surface with her hands. It felt cold and hard beneath her touch. After images of 12 year old Naruto and Sasuke could be seen in her eyes as her hand went up and down on the wood. When Sasuke offered Naruto his bento…Sasuke talking to her in the woods…Sasuke…Sasuke…

Sakura shakes her head to get rid of the Sasuke filled thoughts.

"But aren't we supposed to be a team. After all those months we spent together as Team 7, all those missions, all the friendly squabbling between us. Well, technically between you and Naruto but how could you do that to us? You nearly killed Naruto too. Naruto can be a little annoying sometimes but he was just trying to help you."

Without warning tears started streaming down my eyes. "WHY………?"

I screamed out towards the dark starless sky. My voice echoed throughout the confines of the whole village.
