Let it Rain
Ginny stood out on a hill, letting the drops of water cascade down her sopping clothes. She relished in the feeling of the utter abandonment of being alone. No one to answer to, no one. No one to bug her if she was doing her homework, if Hermione had been there she would have looked pointedly at her. At three o'clock in the morning, every one was in a deep slumber, resting up for tomorrow. She laid down in the grass and closed her eyes. She let the rain drip down on her eyes, like foreign tears. The rain would wash everything bad away.
She didn't hear his footsteps, nor did she see him walk towards her. Draco stood next to Ginny, then sat down. He laid a gentle kiss on her forehead watching as her eyes snapped open. He chuckled, "Bed not comfortable enough, probably made of stale straw. I bet this wet grass is just unbelievably softer than your bed, eh?"
Ginny shook her head feebly, which was the best she could do considering she was lying down. She closed her eyes again, and let out a strained sigh. Draco rolled onto his stomach next to her and laid kisses down her neck, whispering sweet endearments on her skin. "Is everything all right Ginny? Please tell me. There's dark circles under your eyes, let me help. Please?" He kissed her then, passionately but gently.
"Draco, do you love me?" Ginny had asked him this question before, but never did her eyes hold such desperation or worry. "Tell me you love me, that you would stay by me, no matter what." He looked into her eyes and told her what she wanted to hear, but he meant everything he said.
"Ginevra, what's wrong, please, please tell me! I won't leave you, just tell me please." Ginny moved Draco's hand that was cradling her face down to her stomach and looked searchingly into his eyes.
"I love you." One simple statement. He knew what this meant. He knew he was ready to take that final step. Draco got up, and picked Ginny up along with him. Draco walked with Ginny in his arms back to his room. He dried her off with a towel, and left her on his bed, while he opened a drawer to get a velvet green box.
Ginny, by now had sat up and was looking at Draco with interest. Draco walked nervously towards Ginny and kneeled beside her. Ginny gulped and stared down at him. "Ginevra, I love you, I want to spend the rest of my life with you, I want to share a family with you." He had taken her hand and kissed it. Then with his other hand he cradled her face, while tears silently dripped down her face. "I want to have you, and five kids, I love you. Ginevra Molly Weasely, will you marry me?"
Ginny gave Draco a watery smile, and said yes. She reached over to his hand and pulled it gently down to her stomach. It's not five kids, but we're on the way. Draco wiped away her flowing tears with his thumb and laid down on the bed, pulling Ginny up with him. The dark circles vanished as Ginny's baby expanded her stomach, and she went out to visit the rain whenever possible. The rain had washed everything bad, and gave renewed life.
A/N: I know it is VERY VERY short, but I just had this idea and I just wrote it down. Hope you guys like it. It is a one shot. I wrote this a long time ago. Before every one figured out Ginny's real name was Ginevra. I know the plot is so cliche'd but, bear with me. Oh, and the please ignore the fact of Draco being sappy. I dun know what my problem was. O.o For the record. I'm a hypocrite. I HATE it when people make Draco sappy. I probably wouldn't read this story. BUT, I'm going to post it any way. And I want lots of criticism to make it better. Okay:) Review!
