Hi every one! This is my first story in a very long time. Now that my exams are over I'm free again to write as much as I want! Hurray! I hope you'd enjoy this one cause I've got a lot more under my sleeve.

Sano paced furiously.

Kenshin was slumped on a chair, his head resting on his hand with boredom.

"I'm hungry" Sano said for what seemed like the thousands time.

Kenshin didn't even bother to reply this time. He was so hungry himself, he couldn't imagine that Sano's hunger would even come close to his.

Sano paced more rapidly.

"Would you please sit down or something?" Kenshin asked furiously, completely against his always-pleasant nature. But, then again, he was no longer anything to his nature; he lost it with his humanity a few nights ago. All was gone. His lungs no longer breathed and his heart no longer pumped. And neither did Sano's. They were best friends, they shared everything, but they never guessed they'd share vampirism.

Sano stopped in his tracks and stared at Kenshin blankly.

"I'm going hunting" Sano said.

"What?" Kenshin exclaimed, standing up immediately.

"I'm going to get us food, remember food?" Sano said, "We don't need solid food anymore, but we need blood"

"But you can't, we can't!" Kenshin argued, "We can only hunt in the form of bats, and being as 'fresh' as we are when we become bats we become almost blind but our ears aren't yet strong enough to replace them. Besides, it's too dark out there, there won't be any humans to kill"

"I don't care" Sano said, and then got onto his knees and closed his eyes to concentrate.

Kenshin watched intently as his friend slowly turned into a hideous, small, black, winged mammalian.

"I'm going with you" Kenshin said as he too got onto his knees.

"I ain't waiting for ya" Sano squeaked as he flew and left through the window.

Kenshin closed his eyes and focused real hard for a while. He opened them.

Nothing

He tried again harder for a longer time.

When he opened his eyes again, everything seemed a lot bigger than before. Realizing his success Kenshin quickly flapped his wings and rose in the air. Flying seemed to come easily, may be the first hunt won't be so hard after all. If Sano did it on first attempt any one could. He moved for the window but before he could exit bat Sano rushed in covered with blood all over and hit the floor panting hard. He turned back to his human form, the blood still covering him.

Kenshin turned to his original form too and knelt next to his friend.

"Wow!" he exclaimed bewildered, "You did it, you really did it Sano! But how?"

Sano got up slowly and walked to the window, swaying with dizziness. Kenshin followed him.

"You see that pillar there?" Sano asked as he pointed outside.

Kenshin squinted his eyes.

"Yes..." he answered.

"Well, good for you," Sano said, "cause I didn't"

So, how was that? What do you think? Please let me know if I've still got the skills. (Hint: a review would do that very nicely!)

Also, if you still didn't get it, Sano went straight into the pillar, so the blood came from...
