Ah, halloo, this is Every Heart Bleeds, or Ehb, as I normally put in my reviews, and this is the first fanfic I've put up, even though I've been signed up for a while. Anyway, I kinda wondered what happened to the rest of the expedition of monks that Seem sent to the volcano, cuz there was only one at the satellite... So this is my version.

By the way, I do not own anything from Jak 3, only this littleone-shot's story line is mine, so back, you bloodthirsty lawyers, BACK!

The small group walked into the room, their leader automatically glancing around for any sign of enemies. It had taken a lot longer than his commander had expected to make it here, all for one purpose that seemed next to worthless.

Around the room pieces of glass or some other substance separated the expedition from lifeless bodies, seemingly floating in their small encasements, forever preserved in the same condition as when they died. For some of them, this wasn't exactly good.

The lieutenant's eyes finally rested on a vehicle resting on the floor in the middle of the room. He walked over to it and ran his along its gold surface.

'If this was all we were looking for…' he thought, almost angrily.

"Sir, the radar is picking up some movement in the volcano." The lieutenant looked back at the soldier, who was typing away on his small computer.

"Metal-heads?" he asked. More typing.

"No sir, looks more like a group of elves."

The lieutenant did a quick head count of his men. "Are they carrying one of our beacons?"

"No sir," responded the soldier. "It doesn't look like it."

The lieutenant paused for a moment, thinking. "It must be those monks that the count warned us about," he said. "We'll take care of them when we get back up there."

"Wait a second," mumbled the man behind him. The lieutenant looked back at him. "They're heading towards some kind of machine. It looks like it's made out of…That can't be right."

"What is it?" asked the lieutenant, frowning.

"It looks like the machine is made out of dark Eco," the soldier responded incredulously. The lieutenant looked at the radar screen, rubbing his chin.

"We'll check it out when we get there. Make sure these catacombs are marked on the map and we'll be on our way." He smiled a little and pulled out his gun. "Meanwhile, let's make Count Veger happy and give those monks a little welcome party, shall we?"

Oui, it is short, but at least it didn't take long to read! Please review for me, and tell me whether or not I should even waste my time and energy, and yours, putting anything else up!
