"Tobe!" called Kel. She searched frantically around her room. "Tobe!" The young boy came running.
"Yes Kel?"
"Tobe, where on earth is my Glaive? I've been looking for it all morning."
"Right here where you left it Lady Knight." He carefully handed her the menacing Yamani weapon.
"Oh Tobe you're a lifesaver! Thank you so much! Right, I'd better hurry, Gydo and the others will be waiting." Kel rushed out of her quarters leaving the boy behind.
It was the end of another hard day at New Hope and Kel flopped onto her bed. A few minutes later, Tobe came in.
"I've put Hoshi away."
"Aw thanks Tobe. I don't know what I'd do without you. Can you do me a huge favour and sort out a bath for me? I ache all over after today."
"Course." When the bath was run Kel tumbled out of bed and over to the bath tub.
"Okay Mister, out you go! There are some places a fellow's got to draw a line!"
Tobe smiled as he shut the door, recalling his own words when he had first been employed by her. His smile turned into a sigh as he thought how much he would love to stay in there and help…
