Summary - Manny and Spinner are officially boyfriend/girlfriend. Manny's happy but is Spinner missing someone? Who will be there for Craig while Ashley's in England?
Just some information - This takes place during the summer. Time Stands Still never happened. Rick never came back everyone still likes Spinner. Him and Paige broke up but Paige never hooked up with Mr. O. Craig is bipolar and all that stuff happened and Ash is in England.
And let the story start...
-Manny's Room-
Manny lay awake staring at the phone. It was 9:30 p.m, the time Spinner usually called her every night. Manny loved getting his calls, Spinner knew exactly what to say to put a smile on her face. Manny would much rather see him but he was always working. 'I guess this summer isn't gonna be full of love after all,' Manny thought to herself, 'It's getting pretty late if he was going to call he would have by now, I guess I'll just surprise him tomorrow at The Dot,' and with that Manny turned over and went to sleep.
-The Dot-
So many things flowed through Spinner's mind as he held the phone in his sweaty hand. 'Why am I calling her? I haven't even called Manny yet.' Before Spinner had a chance to rethink his decision Paige was on the other line.
Paige- Hello? Is anyone there? Is this some lame prank?
Spinner- No, Paige. It's me Spinner.
Paige- (surprised) Oh, what did you want?
Spinner- I just wanted to know how you been doing.
Paige- I'm fine, my life would be better if a certain someone was in it.
Spinner- Who?
Paige- Spin, don't play dumb with me.
Spinner smiled, he knew she was talking about him. He wasn't surprised he missed her too but there was Manny and he did make a promise to her, a promise that he was going to try to keep.
Spinner- Yeah, well why don't you come by The Dot tomorrow during my break?
Paige- You don't think your girlfriend will mind?
Spinner- Why would she? We're just going to talk as friends.
Paige- Then yeah, sure. I'll come by.
Spinner- Ok, well then I guess I'll see you tomorrow.
Paige- Talk to you later.
Spinner- Bye.
And with that they both hung up their phones. Paige smiled to herself. She missed Spinner and was sure he felt the same. Hopefully their friendship would lead back to the special something they once had.
Will Manny see Paige and Spinner and suspect something's going on between them?
A/N - Ok, this is my first fanfic. Please post some reviews and maybe suggestions. I think I pretty much know were the story is going from here but I'm open to ideas.
