When Sara Met Greg

Author Note: Wrote this last night before I went to bed last night as an exercise. I can't believe I managed to get it under 200 words! Thanks once again to the kind people of the Gaia Online fan fiction sub-forum, especially Laurencia!

Summery: In "Cool Change" Sara was never properly introduced to Greg. One way they could have met.

"What is that noise?" Sara demanded as they passed near the DNA lab.

"One of our lab techs, Sanders, has the weirdest taste in music," Nick said.

Sara scowled as she found herself being lead nearer to the source of the obnoxious noise.

She saw him before he saw her. He had spiky hair; he was shedding a lab coat to reveal a tacky shirt.

"Hey, Sanders! You got my samples yet?" Nick asked.

"Dude, you dropped those off an hour ago. While some may have their doubts, I'm not G—" Greg caught sight of Sara and didn't bother to close his mouth.

"Sara Sidle, Greg Sanders," Nick said.

"Hello." Greg waved, deciding to shut his mouth before his tongue decided to make a break for it. Uncomfortable silence sat in before a machine spit out a paper.

Greg grabbed the printout and handed it to Nick, his eyes not leaving Sara.

"He does talk, right?"

"Normally he doesn't shut up. Thanks, Greg." Greg waved.

They were about to turn a corner when they heard him. Greg ran out of the lab and skidded to a stop.

He shouted breathlessly: "I lost my phone number – can I have yours!"
