Shaking, Chris Irvine struggled to hide his emotions.

His best friend, Jason slept beside him. Chris was unable to believe he had actually slept with his best friend. It was so strange, and yet, so comforting.

Chris had known for years his best friend was gay. That was no big surprise. The surprising thing was that 'straight' Chris had developed a HUGE crush on his best friend.

The night prior, Chris had come out to his friend, expecting rejection. Jason had shaken his head, taken Chris by the hand, and...kissed him. They had gone back to their hotel and one thing had led to another.

That had been Chris' first time. It had been an amazing, sensual experiance. It wasn't because the sex was particularly good. It was because of the love. It hadn't pure sex. It had been ... making love.

"Stop moving," Jason mumbled, half asleep. "You're stealing the blanket," He rolled over, taking half the blanket with him.

Chris stared at the egg white wall. Shaking, he tried to sort out his emotions. He thought he was in love with Jason. No, he was SURE that he was in love with Jason. What had happened last night? Could it be explained by mortal terms?

He jumped, an arm slipping around his waist. Rolling over, he stared into Jason's piercing teal eyes. "Good morning," Chris murmured, trembling.

"How did you sleep?" Jason's eyes were full of love and admiration.

"I didn't sleep," Chris admitted, shivering. Jason pulled him closer. "Thanks,"

"No prob. Hon..." Jason trailed off. Chris shut his eyes tightly, afraid of what he was going to say next.

"Y-yes?" Chris stuttered slightly. Nerves.

"You slept like a baby," Jason chuckled. "I was watching you sleep around three." Chris chuckled, feeling better than he had in months.

"That's funny. I was watching you sleep around four!" Chris chuckled. They acted alike, it was very...odd.

"Are you hungry?" Jason asked. "Can I get you anything?" Sitting up, Chris shook his head. Jason pulled him down again. "Stay with me!"

Lying there in Jason's arms, Chris was struck with the fact he would have to come out. He didn't care. Jason was his. He loved the man holding him. Nothing would change that.

"When you're ready to come out, I'll be by your side," Jason whispered softly in his ear. Chris stiffened. How had Jason known that was what he had been thinking? "Relax,"

"I am," Chris said, shaking his head.

Chris knew the path life had taken him down would not be one of ease. Adversity would stand in his way, each direction he turned. People would never look at him the same way again. As long as he had Jason with him, that would not matter. With his journey through life, he had only one wish.

To be as strong and as confident with his identity as Jason was.

"Hon..." Jason's voice trailed off once more.

"Yeah?" What was Jason going to say now?

"I've been waiting for you,"

"Hmm?"

"I knew you were struggling with your feelings. It was obvious to me."

"Was it?"

"Yeah. Hungry?"

"Starved. Want to head down to the lobby for breakfast?"

"No. I'll have it sent to the room,"
