I had asked him to love me for one life, only one lifetime. It would be cruel to ask of him anymore. For while he could give this life, this body all the comforts of the world; HE owns my spirit and my soul.
He is my past and my future; but he sensed that I was weak…
The night had become too much for my soul, it could not yet comprehend its beautiful music, make sense of the notes. I yearned for the light, even if only it was just to say good-bye. Into that kiss I had begged him to grant my request, and as the tears glowed in his stormy depths, I knew he had. He allowed me to part from him, for the moment, in a brief reprieve, to bid my adieus to the light.
For when this life has extinguished and my soul once again free from its mortal coil, it will once again join his and next time, he will not let me go.
In that lovely black he will wait for me, where together we will sing our dark, strange and oh, so beautiful duet.
