Prolouge
During the period of drought, many died. Thousands didn't stay like that though. All that lived during the damned times changed in several ways. Nothing was safe now.
Kuma Zatgo, son of the captain of the Bear Birgade was a destined hero. He trained from dusk to dawn, dawn to dusk, without end. He wished to be as his father, strong, wise, and respected. The only thing that stopped Kuma's destiny from being completed was the fact that he was not a humaniod; he was human.
The Bear Birgade was one of three parts of the White Plain Army. The other two parts were the Wolf Birgade and the Ox Birgade. The Bears worked with strategic warfare, the oxens had brute force, and the wolves used their cunning and agility for combat. Xeon Zatgo, or better known as Captian Zatgo, was the most intellegent of the Bears.
The humans of the village gave food, drink, and other nessesary goods to the humanoid soldiers. Even though the humanoids were only half animal, the humans feared them. The soldiers knew this and took advantige of the full-blood humans. The women were raped, homes were pilaged, and the weak were killed. The only reason that the humans took the damage was for protection of the undead and dark creatures that brought ill omen and endless pain. There were only a select few of the humanoids that did not torment the humans. One of these was the Bear Birgade Captain. Most superiors also respected the humans, but some were devious and wished to destroy all that were not of the same blood. The humans were called Mediobloods, the weak blooded.
