Ron Weasley brought his girlfriend Hermione Granger into the Common Room, having just walked over with her from their project for Charms class in the library. They were both in their seventh year, having helped Harry defeat Voldemort in their sixth, and had been dating each other for three months. As soon as the front door closed, he kissed her soundly.

She pulled away nervously. "Are you sure that nobody's here?"

He nodded. "When I went back to the Potions classroom to get my quill that I'd left there, I saw everyone else in detention with Snape for the chain reaction of exploding cauldrons that Neville started. I think they'll be there for another half an hour. It's a good thing you were my partner and we finished our potion before the mess. I thought I saw McGonagall come in here earlier, but since she's not sitting in here grading essays or something, she's either fixing the leak in her office or playing chess with Dumbledore again."

Ron and Hermione sat on the couch, the heat rising in their cheeks as they moved closer together. Then his hand seemed to have a mind of its own and entangled itself into bushy hair. When their lips met, a flame seemed to course through their veins. They pulled closer to each other as each kiss took on a life of its own. He abruptly pulled a way, slightly out of breath.

"We should probably find some place where no one will find us when they come back," she suggested. He nodded as they left the couch.

He led her over to the broom closet next to the entrance to the girls' dormitories and placed his hand on the doorknob. "I suppose this is a suitable place to hide," Hermione stated.

"Nobody's likely to open it any time soon, so we'll have some time to ourselves and then we'll head off to dinner," Ron reasoned.

He slowly opened the closet door, but immediately wished that he had not. "Blood Hell!" he exclaimed as he noticed Albus and Minerva snogging as if there was no tomorrow. The two looked slightly disheveled and unaware that their passionate musings had been observed. Minerva abruptly realized that the closet door was open and pulled away for a second. Ron did the most logical thing and closed the closet door.

"Perhaps we could just walk down to the kitchen for a glass of pumpkin juice," he told Hermione.

The two sneaked out of the Common Room noiselessly. A few minutes later, the other two emerged from the closet. "Darling, next time you want to confess your undying love for me, perhaps your office would be a more appropriate place, since mine has a leak?" she teased with a playful smile.

"My dear, I believe the fault was yours for choosing this room in which to do your marking," he replied, softly kissing her lips.

As they left the Common Room, arms linked, Minerva whispered something to Albus that caused him to chuckle. "I think I know why Filch removed all of the enchanted locks from the closets."

"Tabby, I think that had Filch found us while expecting to find students, he would have hit his head, falling in a dead feint," Albus added.

Minerva laughed as they decided to stop by the Headmaster's office for a while before heading to the Great Hall for dinner.
